Hi Guys!!!

Naughty Dog has made an awesome contest where fans of The Last Of Us have to design a T-Shirt related to the game, I need the miracle of likes, votes, and every kind of feedback I can get to have a chance to win this contest, You have to go to the links I'll put bellow every design and sign in on the page, so you can vote, you have a max of 5 designs you can pick, so please get sure you vote at least for one of mine =D

I added three designs to the contest, one of them is repeated, but I just made a change on the color so it could fit a black shirt...

Say Hi to TED!

Hi Birthday Guys!!!

Almost at the end of my last Ilustration clases I had to take a kids' book and make my own version of two parts of the story, I bought Ted by Tony DiTerlizzi, A talented Ilustrator that made The Spiderwick Chronicles...

As the exercise was to create our own version, and since Mr. DiTerlizzi only mentions that this big fellow is pink I made my TED out of a turtle, I think hahaha

Anyways, here you have these nice guys made out of Oil paint =B

The text was added after on Photoshop

Enjoy!!

Don't Forget to visit Tony DiTerlizzi's Webpage,  click Here!

WELCOME to The Gus' ART

Hi Guys!, Back again from a
long time, oblivious of my
duties here, on the
internet...

I'm here again with a renewed
spirit and hope that this time,
this blog thing, will work nicer
and better than before...

Said this, let me
tell you the new ideas and things, so I get more exited
about posting any kind of
drawing, sketch or just
explanations of WIP's, etc...

This whole world of Ilustration is about practice, learn (from your fellow Illustrators and yourself), and feedback. What I mean is that I want to go further from the "That's pretty" or "I like your drawings" interaction kind of thing, I won't get mad if some of you do it, obviously hahaha...

What I mean, is that I want you to experience with me the journey through this world and get as exited as I do with it. be part of the development of my work that will also be yours and also give you credit for it.

After all of this Deep vocabulary non-sense let me get to the point and explain you what the hell I want ok? =D

FIRST IDEA!!!

fake representation of myself =D

There's a very old game I used to play when I was a little boy, you take a page in blank of a notebook, a napkin or anything you can draw on (if you use a table please clean it after you finish =B), make a quick doodle, just random scratches, like three lines or so, then, (normally you play this with other person), the other player takes this doodle and it's up to him/her to make a funny (or not) drawing, then it's that person turn to make a quick scratch so you can make a drawing, and so on...

My idea here it's to make something like that, I'll explain you the rules:

1. You send to my Gmail account (GustavoArtHernandez@Gmail.com), one scratch (it can be a photo, a screen from your computer, a scan, etc.),with the subject "Doodle Contest", so I know wich mails to answer, also put your name, age and how you found  my blog or whatever you want to tell me on the message, so I get some info to announce the Winner

2. I'll take all of those and put them on the same page and print them.

3. When I get on the train or got any free time I'll do the game and do my best to find a drawing from the doodle you sent me.

4. As soon as I finish I'll scan the sketches and make you vote for your favourites.

The winner gets a Commision ,or if that person wants, a finished version of the winner sketch!! =D

I will do this Once a Month, so I get enogh time to make a few sketches =)

That's the First new Thing that's going to be Around xD

2nd Stufff Thing!! =D

Well... I think I'm lying, BUT! I really want to publish this for you to consider this other way of getting some of my drawings in a "Fancy" way[?]

My DeviantART Shop

You can also buy some of my drawings on DeviantART, I got a Shop linked to my account, so you can get Mugs, magnets, Prints on canvas and more (basically I can't manage to remember the rest =B), there's a button under the banner so you can go there whenever you want to.

Also, If you don't see one of my drawings in the shop, please notify me so I can upload it =D

Third and (for the moment)Last New Idea/Thing!!

Commissions Guys!! Finally!!, I feel confident Enough to let me illustrate your ideas =D

I'll let you know once I get my PayPal account done which are going to be the rules to follow so we all be happy =)

Meanwhile you can send me your ideas to the same Gmail account I put earlier with the Subject "Draw my Stuff", so I know which mails I gotta see.

Along with that send me detailed info about your idea,

the prices will be:

Traditional techniques <Gouache, Graphite, color pencils, Watercolor>:

A5 = 10€
A4 = 15€
A3 = 20€

(These prices ar higher mainly beacause these drawings are going to be sent to the costumer while Digital drawings will be sent to an E-Mail account without any cost)

Digital Drawings:

A5 = 5€
A4 = 9€
A3 = 14€

Custom sizes and depending on the form, the prices will be negotiable

I gotta figure out yet how to send you the drawings, so if you got any suggestions please write it in the comments bellow.

So Guys, hope to see more of you, and be sure you will see more often of me, won't try to spam you guys with a post everyday, but I'll try to give you at least one post every week.

Also be nice and visit my friends here on the right side of the blog and say hi to them xD

See you real soon!!! =D
